  The first ISEM conference will be held in the Western Cape, South Africa in 2011.

  The conference will focus on:

  Innovative Systems Thinking: Unravelling Complexity for Successful Solutions

  The Industrial, Systems and Engineering Management (ISEM) conference is a joint initiative between the Southern African Institute for Industrial Engineering (SAIIE), INCOSE (South Africa) and the Graduate School for Technology Management at the University of Pretoria, and this conference therefore focuses on:

  • Industrial Engineering,
  • Systems Engineering, and
  • Engineering Management.

  Note that this conference will earn you 3 ECSA CPD points - ref SAIIE/ CPD/ I/ 01-11.

  • 15 July: Early bird registration deadline. Please see Registrations on the right to register.
  • 11 July: Submission of Abstracts for Presentation and Poster tracks deadline. See Call for Papers on right for details.
  • 11 July: Submission of full papers for accepted abstracts in the Peer Reviewed tracks deadline. See Call for Papers on right for details.
  • 15 July: Registration date deadline for authors of peer reviewed papers.
  • 1 August: Registration date deadline for presenters in the presentation and poster tracks.
  • 21-23 September: ISEM Conference.
  • 21 September evening: Welcoming and Wine Tasting function
  • 22 September evening: Semi-formal Gala dinner
